Flashback: Fellini’s Campari Voyage
In 1984, 64-year-old cinema god Federico Fellini produced this piece for client Campari. Entitled “Oh, che bel paesaggio!” (“Oh, what a beautiful landscape!”), it features two passengers on a train: one played by Victor Poletti, and the other, a clearly unhappy young woman, played by Silvia Dionisio. Aggravated by his cheer, the woman snatches up a remote control and changes the landscape outside. Then she tosses the remote to Poletti, who gives her a show of his own.
Slightly clowny and slanted toward fable, like the Fellini we love.
